For the last 10 years or so, I’ve gone fly fishing on and off. I enjoyed it a lot, but never had the time to fully commit to it. I cut my hours down at work, which in this case is a good thing, so I had more time to invest in the sport. I was anxious to get started.
It had been awhile, so I knew I’d be a little rusty at it. I decided that I wanted to look for information on fly fishing, just so I could jog my memory. I sat down to dig into some research. I was really glad I did.
I stumbled upon Trouts Fly Fishing and was instantly intrigued. They had a ton of resources and they were all right there at my fingertips. I watched some videos and read some articles. There were so many great informational things on the site.
I started browsing around further to see what else they had to offer. They had tons of products and services too. I was booking a trip to go fly fishing in Colorado the following year, and I saw that they offered guided tours. I stored this information in my memory for when the time came to book everything.
It was impulsive, but right then and there I decided to take the leap and purchase a fly fishing rod, along with everything else I needed to get started. I was ready to fully invest myself. No more renting used fly fishing gear. I was a little nervous, but that passed quickly.
Once everything arrived, I came up with a plan to take a day trip to go fly fishing. I was really excited. I got everything loaded and set off.
When I arrived I was eager to get started. I knew I had to chill out though, so I didn’t rush through everything and mess something up. I took my time getting everything prepared, and eventually I was ready to rock.
It was such an awesome experience. There’s something different about having your own gear that is just for you and no one else. Plus, the fly fishing rod was the smoothest I had ever used. The word finesse comes to mind.
That was the best time I’d had in years, and I was all on my own. I felt more relaxed and I was really looking forward to the next time I went fishing. Even more, I was even more excited about my future trip to Colorado. I’m so glad I found Trouts Fly Fishing.
